V.P. Operations - Fulfillment
Primary Objectives
Plan, organizes, directs and controls all activities of Fulfillment functions. Responsible for the performance of all departmental functions including Operations, warehouse management, pricing, engineering, freight management.
Principal Accountabilities
1. Implements and monitors strategic growth objectives in conjunction with market/industry trends, corporate philosophy and reporting departments.
2. Establishes, defines and monitors specific objectives and procedures governing departmental performance and responsibilities in terms of the short and long term strategic plan.
3. Responsible for final approval on product costing and concessions. Monitors and analyzes specific client performance.
4. Oversees, monitors and directs plant operations to ensure appropriate application of resources. Reviews and approves plans for the control of outputs, labor efficiency, machine standards and quality.
5. Analyzes operating results and report financial issues, trends or other matters of significance to immediate supervisors in a timely manner. Recommends and /or takes appropriate corrective actions as necessary.
6. Responsible for annual operation budget, projections and forecasts.
7. Selects and maintains qualified personnel in positions reporting directly. Identifies authority, responsibility and management expectations of each position.
8. Responsible to ensure that existing property, plant and equipment are properly maintained. Ensures compliance with federal and state safety regulations. Monitors environmental factors to minimize potential for costs related to Worker’s Compensation.
9. Maintains appropriate level of communications. Keeps staff informed as to company plans and progress.
10. At all times projects a favorable image of Skybridge® Marketing Group to promote its objectives and to foster and enhance public recognition and acceptance of all areas of endeavor.
11. Performs other activities as directed and/or required.
Position Requirements
• Five to ten years of progressively responsible operational experience in fulfillment.
• Bachelor of Science degree in related field. MBA preferred.
• Proven analytical ability.
• Solid understanding of market, industry and supplier competition for profits.
• Ability to identify and develop leadership abilities of subordinates.
Influence on Profitability
• Directs all facets of operation for Fulfillment functions, paying close attention to program profitability and labor costs.
• Implements, or directs implementation of, strategies to minimize capital requirement through improved cash flow
• Identifies and institutes procedural changes necessary to increase efficiency and improve cost effective operation.
Personal Requirements
• Effective management skills including the ability to define problems and/or needs take appropriate actions and delegate responsibilities.
• Ability to be a “shirtsleeve” manager able to think on his/her feet while maintaining composure under the stress and interact at all levels.
• Ability to actively set, pursue and realize goals.
